About us
Aqivo is a Dutch AI chatbot platform for the cultural sector
Made by Codebrouwerij, in Kaatsheuvel. We write the code ourselves and answer the email ourselves. That's pretty much the whole story.
Why Aqivo exists
At a music venue the box office empties out at five. The questions don't. Where can I park, is there still a ticket for Saturday, what time does it finish, can I bring my coat into the hall. They come in during the evening, and on weekends, on a phone that nobody's picking up by then.
Most cultural organizations run on small teams and can't just add another person. That kind of recurring question is fine to answer automatically, on one condition: the assistant only talks about what's actually on your site. So it doesn't make anything up. If it doesn't know, it says so and hands the conversation over to a staff member.
What Aqivo does and doesn't do
Aqivo reads your content. Your website, your events calendar, your FAQ, a spreadsheet if it comes to that. Beyond that it has nothing to say. We don't build our own ticketing either; we point visitors to yours, since that's where your records already live.
Does it also work on a site that has nothing to do with culture? Sure. We came up with it for venues, and the calendar and ticket features were built for that. On a municipal website or an online shop the assistant just does its job, you just don't use those features.
Who's behind it
Aqivo is a product of De Codebrouwerij B.V. in Kaatsheuvel. It's a small company. Email us something technical and you'll get a reply from someone who writes the code themselves.
About the name
Aqivo is pronounced "a-kie-vo". It's a made-up name, and, awkwardly, it looks like a few that already exist. We're not Aivo, not Aquevo, and not the swimming school in Cologne that goes by nearly the same name.
